Walnut Brownies

INGREDIENTS
- Walnut meal (purchased or ground in a food processor)- 1/2 cup
- Dutch process cocoa powder - 1/4th cup
- Baking powder - 3/4 teaspoons
- Baking soda - 3/4teaspoons
- Sea salt - 1/4th teaspoons
- Eggs - 1(room temperature)
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Honey or maple syrup - 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 2 1/2 tablespoons
- Chopped walnuts for topping - 2 tablespoons
- Butter for greasing the pan
METHOD
- In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients until well blended. Set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degree F
- In a small bowl, whisk eggs for one minute, add coconut milk, honey or maple syrup and whisk again. Add melted coconut oil and whisk until the ingredients are blended again.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and whisk well.
- Butter the baking pan.
- Pour the batter into your baking pan.
- Sprinkle walnut on top of batter.
- Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
- Cool completely before cutting.
